Geography at the special level has been started in the Mandalar College since 2012 to up Mandalar Degree College.

Geography Department dedicates for the dissemination of geographical knowledge, on the country of Myanmar and the world, by which one can understand the affairs of the world and the country. Geography as a discipline can be split broadly into two main subsidiary field: human geography and physical geography.

Human geography is a branch of geography that focuses on the study of patterns and processes that shape human society. It encompasses the human, political, cultural, social, and economic aspects.

Physical geography focuses on geography as an Earth science. It aims to understand the physical problems and the issues of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, pedosphere, and global flora and fauna patterns (biosphere).

To this end, the geography department strives to make everyone know geography.
